Way Way too much money!

At a price of over $400 per night, it was difficult to justify that price. Just as I was ready to forget about the exorbitant cost I checked in and was hit with an additional $37 per night resort fee. This is nothing more than gouging. The room is nice but not $400 nice. Next time I will stay at the Sheraton at half the cost. I wouldn't waste my money here again.

Last minute getaway with son

I booked the Hotel Park City last minute this winter for a ski trip with my son. I have stayed up in Deer Valley for most of my ski vacations in the region, so was not too familiar with where to stay in Park City or what accommodation would be to my "hotel snob" acceptability and also located well for skiing and enjoying town. Well, the hotel exceeded my expectations! The service is exceptional and every staff member from valet, to front desk to the restaurant.....were professional, friendly, and knowledgable. We were upgraded to a cottage suite and had the surprise of a private hot tub facing the mountains on our balcony. We were also surprised to have a wonderful breakfast buffet included in our hotel rate each morning. SO....in the era of travel surprises that are often not positive, I left this property today with a wonderful, satisfied sentiment. I would return here as the location although not ski on ski off, (but the shuttle is quick and prompt) is close to everything you need in PC....the service is exceptional, and the rooms are comfortable and well taken care of . Well done Hotel Park City.

Outstanding personalized service!

My family just wrapped up a 5 night stay at the hotel. As a Marriott Titanium level traveler I stay at a lot of properties all over the world, I have to say for the size of the hotel I was struck by how attentive the team is to guests. Every time I passed the desk I was greeted by name. I'm not sure how they even remembered from my short time at check in but they did. It is a lovely property and convenient to the slopes. I was working throughout the stay so shuttled my husband and kids to and from the slopes in our rental car each day which made it simple for them. We cooked a few meals in the cottage and ate at Ruth's Chris a couple of nights. The kids loved the Skiers' breakfast which kept them full until a late lunch on the mountain. We experienced a fairly significant problem during the stay. Heavy snowfall, followed by warming temperatures led to a roof leak directly over the bed. I was working in the room when I noticed and called the front desk. The maintenance team came right away. It was frustrating as it was during a time of day when I had to be on conference calls and quite loud as the removed the snow and fixed the leak but the team apologized and handled it very well. Overall we loved the cottage, the view of the mountain, hot tub and comfortable bed. The kids are already asking to return again next year.

Quick ski weekend away

I took my 15 year old son on a quick weekend away for us to ski for a few days at the end of February. Hotel wasn’t far from the airport and I understood we were going to have to navigate our way to the mountain, so we rented a car which wasn’t an issue. There is a shuttle, but we didn’t use it as we just drove ourselves the quick drive to Park City. The room was quite nice, but there were a few major issues that we couldn’t seem to figure out or resolve while we were there. First, I’m not even sure if there is valet...and if there is, they are very hard to locate. We arrived very late and I had to search for someone to even assist with the bags and the car....and then, we never had any help with our things or the car the remainder of the time and just took care of everything ourselves. My son loaded all of our gear every day and everything himself as we checked out. Also, the thermostat in the room was set to way too warm and we were sweating every night if we didn’t keep the balcony door open. We called multiple times and they kept saying it was working properly and we just needed to turn the temperature down and give it time to adjust, but it never did....even after hours of waiting. Finally, the keys would randomly deactivate....one time, we were in the hot tub after a long day of skiing, so only in bathing suits and robes and had to stand in the lobby awkwardly to wait for our keys to be reset. The woman at the desk told me “it happens all the time”. I said, not sure how she feels, but I generally try not to stand in hotel lobby’s in my bathing suit and robe because it seems inappropriate and the key was working just an hour ago. It’s a nice property, but they have some adjustments that need to be made that will likely have us trying different accommodations next time we are in Park City.

Not as luxurious as we had hopef

I stay in Marriotts about every other week, I’ve stayed at autograph collection hotels, I’ve also stayed at 5 star non-Marriott resorts. This is a beautiful spot, however less wonderful than we expected. The most disappointing factor was our view. We had a cottage suite. The room was lovely and we were excited to have a good spot on the end... until we looked outside and realized we were staring at a construction site. I called the front desk about this and when I asked for another room due to the construction happening they did two things which bothered me: 1. Implied they had upgraded me- which they did not. 2. Asked me whether I was sure they were moving around direct- I believe she said “are you sure they’re not just moving snow?”. The disconnect between the staff and what was happening at the property was disconcerting. They did offer to move us (wouldn’t be possible until the next day) but we opted to stay due to many other rooms not having as much privacy. I’m sure the view doesn’t upset most skiers who are away all day, but my husband had torn his ACL so we were spending more time in the room during the day. The property is otherwise nice, the spa was also a highlight. I was surprised there was no turn down service and no opportunity for ad hoc shuttles downtown. We would consider returning since we can book on points, but I’d explore other Marriott properties first.
