Nice Hotel, but lacking enough to be rated Excellent

I just spent 2 days attending a conference at this hotel. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The days were hit for Park City and the AC never worked in my room. I complained twice and did have someone come to the room, but nothin g was done. I guess they have an antiquated AC system for the hoot days. If I kept the door opened to get a cool breeze their were cotton seeds floating in the air. Service for lunch was very slow. Front desk staff was nice, but not very knowledgeable.Attention to detail for a high end resort property was not what it should be.

Wow

I had no idea this hotel was so nice. We lIve in Park City and needed a hotel for a few nights. Staff is amazing and the room was fabulous. Big bathroom, great bed and a living room with kitchenette, fireplace and even a washer and dryer. Western decor fits right in with this fantastic ski town. Free coffee in the lobby in the am and a Ruths’ Chris Steakhouse on property. Bandanas, the day time restaurant served up a terrific breakfast as well. Definitely a hotel worth staying at.

Beautiful property!

We stayed at the Hotel Park City at the end of February. We went for a long ski weekend with our 11 year old daughter. We are platinum with Marriott and were upgraded to one of the amazing cottages. Upon check in there was a bit of a mix up as there were two different reservations under our account for two different people not in our party. This resulted in being double charged. It took the entire five night stay for the problem to be resolved but the front desk crew and reservations department finally resolved the issue. I think it was a bit frustrating for them and us as no one could figure out how to fix this problem. Once we got into our room, it was amazing. We had a one bedroom cottage and it was everything you could want. Full kitchen, two bathrooms, three fireplaces and a private hot tub. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is with the hot tub. It is amazing for happy hour and relaxing after a hard day on the mountain however, by the third day, the water began to stink. There needs to be an operating manual with the hot tub. I believe we in inadvertently turned off the filter while trying to turn on the jets. The cottages are also a short walk to the main hotel but we did not mind the walk. With all of the snow, it was beautiful and refreshing. The breakfast buffet came with our room and was always very good. The service was a tad slow though. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Park City again.

Beautiful resort, but lacking an attention to detail

We visited in the slow shoulder season to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. Despite the resort being in a beautiful location, there were some definite disappointments. The Pros: -The location is great, tucked between a mountain and a golf course; grocery store and liquor store just across the street; a quick drive to downtown Park City -The room was awesome; we are Marriott Titanium guests and were upgraded to a Grand Luxury 1 Bedroom Suite. The room was immaculately cleaned and well appointed. 2 fireplaces, a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms were a treat! The Cons: -Despite calling ahead to inform them that we were celebrating my wife's birthday, no acknowledgement was made -Although we were upgraded, our room was right next to the the golf announcement loud speaker was and they made announcements all day. With a resort at 5% capacity, I would have expected the could have upgraded us to the other side of the resort -There was construction ongoing. It was noisy at times and messy. When we arrived, the main entrance was so bungled up that the painters had to lift caution tape to let us in. I understand construction happens, but some signage to an alternate entrance is something I would expect at a resort of this caliber. -Despite paying a $20 resort fee, there were no amenities provided. The pool lacked waitstaff and towel attendants. The pool and hot tub had a layer of bugs and tree debris floating on top. It was definitely a let down from the quality we were expecting. Upon complaining about this, they did reverse the $20 resort fee. I might suggest you don't charge a resort fee in the shoulder seasons since you are barely operating as a resort. -Despite a do not disturb sign (and a confirmed 4:00pm late check-out) housekeeping rang our doorbell on 2 separate occasions the morning of our checkout. This made us feel like squatters and soured what should have been a relaxing morning in. I would say we won't be staying here again any time soon and Marriott should re-evaluate whether this property reflects its Autograph Collection brand well.

Golf, Gourmet Meals, and Great Views

Living in Park City, UT a relatively small resort towns has its perks. For example, we have access to great golf courses, including the Park City Municipal Golf Course. Plus, the pro shop is attached to Hotel Park City, Ruths Christ Steak House, Bandanas Restaurant and, in the Winter, the cross country "hut." The views from the back of Hotel Park City are great too, especially during the Holidays. Ruths Christ at the Hotel has the best steak sandwich anywhere and a great little bar area for casual dining. So, Winter or Summer, you can't beat Hotel Park City for sports, food and views!
