Amazing Experience at the Waldorf

We had a wonderful time at the Waldorf Park City. Everything was amazing from our interaction with Tamara, in reservations, to JD and Valentina in the Powder restaurant! The front desk was very helpful when we had a minor issue with our room. The ski valet will spoil you for staying anywhere else. Yes, they will help you put your boots on and take them off if you need help! The complimentary shuttle to Main Street and Park City mountain base was great! Tip: If you want to ski Park City also, take the free shuttle from the hotel and then take gondola back at the end of the day to Canyons and ski down to Waldorf. The meals at Powder restaurant were very delicious and the service was warm and very attentive. We had a 2 bedroom luxurious suite with fireplaces and kitchen and it was very very comfortable! If you like Rossignol equipment, Ski Butlers is onsite at the Waldorf and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! I used them 2 days and then went across the street to Aloha Rentals and they have a wide selection of brands. Tip: The concierge won’t tell you about Aloha Ski rentals even when you ask if there are additional places to rent nearby so I could try the RipStick or Black Pearl. I saw the sign when I was at the Gondola across the street. Every night they have S’mores by the fire pit which was a nice touch and the hot tubs and Gym were also very nice and well equipped. I would highly recommend staying at the Waldorf Park City and will be back soon!

Terrible service/follow up

We came with as a huge group December 12-16 to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. Overall the facilities were fairly nice and it is close to ski lifts; however, I had a terrible experience with housekeeping and after reporting the incident, received zero follow-up. One day, housekeeping came so late in the day, the man asked to clean the room while I was in the room. I was working on my laptop and one a call while he was cleaning. I watched him spray used glassware with the same cleaning solution that he used to clean the rest of the room, wipe them down, and then set them down as if they were sanitized, clean glassware. I was disgusted. I reported the incident when I checked out to Sidney, the night auditor who was running the overnight reports. She took down all of my information and said she would make sure that someone followed up with me. It's now been close to a month and no response. There is no email listed on your website. This is the only way I can imagine getting a response. Hopefully someone will respond.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Service!

Had a wonderful experience once again at this hotel. The entire staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful which really made our vacation perfect. The proximity to the mountain is great and love that the boot room staff has your equipment waiting for you at the gondola when you get there and has your boots warm and ready to go. The hot chocolate and hot cider apres ski is fantastic. The beds and pillows are some of the most comfortable I have slept on and the restaurant in the hotel is very good. Everything you would expect from a Waldorf hotel.

The Standard of Excellence

The Waldorf cannot be beaten in customer service or luxury! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the ski valet staff are wonderful, and the shuttle service is so helpful to have! Our kids loved swimming outside in the snow—the heated sidewalk and decks are fabulous! Our room is spacious, comfortable, and has everything we need for a relaxing week in Park City. We appreciate all the nice little touches (slippers by the bed, our son’s stuffed animals placed in cute little poses, turndown service, etc) that made us feel well cared for the entirety of our visit. Our boys can’t wait to return!

Management needs to align its expectations with worker capabilities

First and most importantly, all of the staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant and hard working. But, the results did not meet expectations. We were at the WA over Christmas in a 2 bedroom suite with 2 dogs. We stayed 5 nights. The most frustrating part of the stay was the daily cleaning. Clearly, it was best for everyone, if we could have the dogs out of the room during the daily cleaning. The first day, there was a mis-communication with the front desk. We informed them when we left in the morning, and requested cleaning. Nothing. The cleaners finally arrived at 1, which meant taking the dogs out for another 2 hours. Each day the cleaning lasted at least 2 hours, even when we tried to streamline it. After the first day, at least the cleaners came first thing in the morning, but they were still at when we returned 2 hours later. Part of the problem was that none of the cleaners spoke English, so it was impossible to ask them to only do the basics. And we were baffled about their instructions. One day all of the shoes on the floor of the closet had been re-arranged. I would gladly have preferred that they shortened the cleaning time, than clean the floor of the closet. Another instance where expectations weren't met was with using the phone to request services. Despite the buttons on the phone indicating specific services- valet, front desk... all of the calls seemed to go to Guest Services. From there, it was pot luck as to whether or not the request was passed along. The facilities were pleasant, everyone tried very hard but they were not put in a position to succeed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am disappointed to hear your stay was not every bit as excellent as we would have liked and I apologize for the poor daily cleaning service you received. I will be sure to share your comments with our Housekeeping management team and I am positive they will use your feedback as a coaching opportunity to ensure better daily service moving forward.
