Friendly helpful staff, feels comfortable during peak season

We like this place as a family hotel a short shuttle ride from park city mountain and Main Street. Just enough removed from tourist congestion. Recommend concierge accommodations where there is a well stocked food supply and generous hot breakfast. Abundant fruit assortment. Excellent and fresh juices and coffee. Jacuzzi, steam room and exercise area. Small but not busy. Bring footwear because no complimentary slippers or bathrobe. Good dining options nearby if you don’t want to shuttle.

I was thrilled to read you and your family enjoyed a perfect ski vacation with us here in Park City. Along with our restaurant (Timbers), there are a variety of great restaurants around us like Lespri, Freshies Lobster Company, Fuego Bistro, Grub Steak, Este Pizza and El Chubasco to rattle off a few. I was also pleased to see you took advantage of our Sheraton Club and local shuttle services. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Great Service Making up for Modest Accommodations

This Sheraton will be much better once they invest in modern renovations. It’s just stuck in a more boring era of basic room design for the masses. I did appreciate the vibrant photos livening up the walls, though it’s still kind of dark. It’s probably a good value but you still need to drive to town or the slopes, and they have shuttles to get you there. The staff is great, highly attentive and helpful. It’s close to 3.5 than 3 stars, but not quite worthy of 4.

The best feedback we can receive, in my opinion, is about the welcoming and friendly team. Thank you for taking the time to let us know they made all the difference for you during your ski vacation with us here in Park City. I was pleased to read you took advantage of our shuttles which take you to the base of Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Ski Resort and/or Historic Main Street. Parking is very difficult at these locations in season, so the shuttle makes life less stressful. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Too hot or too cold

The atrium is like a sauna and the meeting rooms were like a refrigerator. My room was also too warm despite changing the thermostat. The window opened to the interior over the pool so the air out there was even warmer. The food service food was pretty awful too. A strange thing about the room...there was one hook in the bathroom to hang a towel. No where for a second person or for hand towels. My shower also leaked all over the floor. The staff was pleasant but can’t think of anything else that was redeeming.

I apologize we could not get the temperature to be "just right" for you. We definitely keep the fire place roaring during the winter as it typically is a great way to welcome back all of our guests after a day of skiing and before they head out to the fire pits to enjoy our apres ski. Opening the balcony doors or windows in your guest room will definitely have your guest room adopt to the temperature (exterior windows colder and atrium windows warmer) of the environment. I am sorry you did not enjoy your dining experience through room service and hope you took a moment to share this while you were still on property as our team always wants to ensure everything is made right before you go. The worst things for us, in my opinion, is to not find out there was an issue until we read an online survey...at that point, we have lost the opportunity to make it right. I appreciate your candor and you taking the time to provide the feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve.

Wonderful Staff

Booked a ski trip on very short notice. Settled on the Sheraton from few options. Very lucky choice. Literally everyone working there was extremely attentive, hospitable, pleasant and went above and beyond - front desk personnel, bellmen, house keeping, restaurant and lounge staff and shuttle drivers, hope I'm not leaving anyone out. Management should be very proud of this group. Usually try to find ski in/ski out accommodations, but when I return to Deer Valley or Park City I'll return to the Sheraton.

This was such a great review to get to read and I truly appreciate you taking some of your time to post it. I know ski vacationers certainly have a lot of choices in the Park City Market. I think our ownership group did a great job with the multi-million dollar renovation and our close proximity to the Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Ski Resort and Historic Main Street make it easy for our guests to get out and explore. But I could not agree with you more that people make all the difference in this industry and I am very blessed to get to work with some amazing folks. Thank you for taking the time...we look forward to welcoming you back!

Website needs a review

I booked our rooms using the Marriott.com website. We were planning a ski holiday in Park City and I booked a King Room with Concierge Lounge Access. The website room description says that this room has a tub/shower combination, and a 15 sq ft balcony. We checked in at about 4pm and found that our room did not have a bathtub and did not have a balcony. I questioned this at reception and I was told that we couldn’t have a bathtub, as only 30% of the rooms have bathtubs and none was available. After a day skiing, there is nothing better than a soak in a nice bath, so I was disappointed that the Marriott website was misleading. The window of our room faced an enclosed pool area, which included a hot-tub. This meant that the room air had a strong chlorine smell, which could not be removed as there was no window to the outside. There were many small defects with the room- eg the bracket for the shower handle had become detached from the shower wall, there were no towel rails in the bathroom meaning that hand towels etc had to be left draped over the basin; the aircon was too cold for the first few days of our stay, then too hot for the last few days; and the room lights and bedside lamps provided no light whatsoever over the bed, so it was impossible to read in bed. House keeping was a bit haphazard. Variously no shower cap, no shampoo and conditioner, no face cloths, and the cleaning cloths left behind. Its difficult to leave a tip for this level of service. On the plus side the room has a Keurig coffee machine which made good coffee. Room slippers were provided on request. The room was very spacious. The shuttle bus service to the ski field works well. The undercover parking garage was great when it snowed. There is a coin laundry. I was a bit naïve in thinking that the Concierge Lounge would be like other Marriott lounges that I have experienced. Sheraton Park City is very favourably priced compared to high end hotels in Park City and I think I was expecting too much for the price (average $550 per night for us). The lounge provided a buffet breakfast that Americans would expect- bacon, sausages, omelette, etc, but there were not enough tables for all the guests, and no organisation to assist with this. It was like a table scramble at a shopping centre food court. The lounge also provides soft drinks and nuts in the afternoon, one hot appetiser item (like crumbed artichoke) and one dessert item (like brownies, or cheesecake) in the evening. On check out I was annoyed that an extra $20 facility fee (to cover the cost of the pool, hot tub and parking etc) was charged each day, plus an extra $40 -$50 tax was added, including a tax on the facility fee. These fees are listed on the Marriott website, but as they are not optional, I don’t know why they are not included in the advertised room charge. I think the Sheraton provides a standard of amenity and service consistent with its prices, but I’m not sure I would stay here again.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide so much feedback about your stay. I apologize the website was confusing as to what type of guest room you booked. We did work our way through a multi-million dollar renovation last year which included removing many of the bathtub/shower combination and replacing with walk in showers as this seems to be the preference for most guests. I wish we had a tub available for your stay and will follow up with my front desk team to ensure we ask the right questions at check in when our guests first arrive. Our Sheraton Club does offer a full breakfast each morning with a live action station where our guests can have made to order omelettes, waffles and pancakes. During the midday/afternoon services it provides granola bars, whole fruits and a make your own trail mix. In the evenings it offers a hot appetizer as well as a selection of cheeses and meats. I would definitely be interested to know what you felt we were missing beyond these items, so please e-mail me directly at jason.ford@sheratonparkcity.com. I could not tell if you overall enjoyed your visit with us or not. I hope you did. I thank you again for the information as I will follow up with my housekeeping team, front office crew and work on some website updates so our photos make it clear exactly what our guests are booking. I look forward to hearing from you.
