Awesome place to stay

This is a great place to stay. We went with our grandchildren in the summer. They had a great time at the Alpine slide and other activities. They enjoyed the large pool complex and the smores. The only thing I think they should add to truly be a luxury place is dedicated Tesla and Electric vehicle charging spaces.

Nice Location

We are Marriott Vacation Club (Destinations Points) owners and elected to take a summer trip to the Park City area. Before booking I was uncertain whether to stay at the Summit Watch property which was “on Main Street” or MountainSide. Based on other Trip Advisor reviews, we elected to book at MountainSide and was glad we did so. While Summit Watch might be on “Main St.” it is at the far end of Main Street and it’s limited amenities (pool) are across a courtyard. MountainSide is just what the name suggests.... it is located at the bottom of the mountain at the Park City Mountain facility (during the summer Park City Mountain offers Zip Line, Alpine Slide, Ski Lift, “Coaster”, etc...) and offers a small pool, multiple hot tubs, 2 fire pits, bbq grills and an indoor lounge with a pool table, table tennis and an “activities center” During our visit, the hotel was crowded and noisy, particularly in the evening and given that it was during the heart of summer, there were many families with kids. The hotel has a very small Market for drinks and snacks. I’d suggest going to the 7-11 (a short walk) or one of the many supermarkets in the area (Smith’s located in the shopping center on 224 right when you exit I-80, being best). The front desk staff was pleasant as were the “concierge” staff. Note, if you see the concierge staff who can help you with booking excursions, etc, they will try to get you to agree to a 90 minute timeshare presentation in return for a prepaid gift card, etc. The rooms themselves were adequate. Nothing fancy. All in all I had no issues with this property and would likely stay there again if I were visiting the area.

Parents Beware!!

We have visited this hotel every summer for the last several years (minus 2018) and have enjoyed our stays. Our kids (10, 11, 13) know the property and enjoy the activities and amenities. However, upon arriving this year we were met with signs all over the property stating that kids under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. And they enforce it. I even had to stay in the kids club during a sign-up event that was supervised by employees. The employees I’ve spoken with about this have said they are sorry for the inconvenience. I’m not sure they understand what a big change this is. It’s not merely an inconvenience, it changes the entire nature of visiting the property. I come here specifically for the fact that the kids can explore and have fun. If I have to follow my kids around 24/7 this is not a vacation for me. There’s nothing on the hotel’s website explaining this rule. There’s no notice at all until you’ve spent your money traveling to and staying at the hotel. I’m a lifetime titanium member in Marriott’s loyalty club Bonvoy. I don’t say this because I want special treatment, only to say that I’ve stayed at a lot of Marriotts for a lot of nights and I’ve never seen a rule like this that destroys a vacation for parents who would also like some R&R. You blew this one, Marriott. Blew it big time!

Bad Customer Service

When I call for my room. I was told I was going to have a room with a refrigerator and a stove. And it turns out my room has a mini fridge with a Microwave. Looks like false advertisement to me. I cancelled other reservations for the amenity. They had no other rooms.

Beautiful Resort with Mountainous Views

Currently staying a week here celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with our adult daughter and everything has been absolutely wonderful! 2 bedroom unit is updated, spacious & well equipped with all your needed essentials. Staff has been welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. Fitness center, pool areas, movie theater and owners lounge areas are likewise amazing. This is our first time to PC and found the location convenient for getting to Main Street, hiking trails, and a day trip to Sundance. It is a family resort but we’ve enjoyed seeing 3 generations of families playing & enjoying their time together (all children have been very well mannered & courteous, not running around unsupervised). When booking I was in a quandary as to whether to stay here or at Summit Watch and after visiting busy Main Street am so thankful we stayed here. This has been one of our best Marriott vacations ever :D
